Chased the NKP 765 From Edon, OH to Hillsdale, MI watched a few runs of the Little River Railroad with 4-6-2 110 and 0-4-0 tank engine 1. Chased 765 back to Ohio watched the INER SD40 pull entire train and 765 back to Hillsdale to be turned for next day excursion and did some railfanning at Waterloo, IN plus saw the New York Central heritage unit. Pardon me yelling come on I was trying to get m...

We then cut to the bone yard in Williams for a quick look at some of the retired equipment. The northbound Williams Flyer then passes us. Back at the Grand Canyon Village, we look around the boarding area, including the log cabin style depot. Then it's hop back on the return t...

Shame you misspelled Allegh”a”ny. You’ve used a Pennsylvania spelling and not the original (for this locomotive) Virginia spelling.
@ RailSofmichigan can i join your model railroad club team please
Unfortunately I hate to say this. This model railroad club is no more. It was originally located in the basement of a hobby shop and then the owner passed away and they sold off the hobby shop and liquidated everything inside it and we had to tear down the layout and unfortunately it will probably never be back again because we could not find a location to restart the club
This is a great video! I have some questions for you. What is the size of the locomotive on this train? Is there a way that completely covered passengers can be used here for when it rains or snows? Or is there such a thing here? Just a bit of curiosity. How are the "gauge numbers" determined for miniature railroads? Is it by measuring the size of the locomotives and cars or the size of the track? I am an amateur at this as you can probably tell.
@PereMarquette1223 I won’t get into the model railroad club and chapter for Michigan how can I get into the model railroad club chapter I have the HO scale layout out there can you see if I can get in the Michigan model railroad club please check on that for me please let me know what they say on my UA-cam channel
What gauge is this? Oh, it's 16"
CB&Q 5632 yaaay
But an GTW
Yea good catches and video of this railroads Christmas train

good video agin of this railroads Christmas excursion with 464
good video of this railroads Christmas excursion with 464
Thank you for helping me relive my childhood
It was retired in 1959 not 56
Why does this looks fun
The shed at the beginning was a restroom.
Love your steam engine
Where's the big boys in the yellow Stones more powerful than the Allegheny
Wow! Some serious fabrication going on there.
Are the parts with the Christmas songs muted for copyright reasons?
I love the train!
Why he sell it off? Old age? Repair costs too high? Recession?
I believe the largest 1/4 scale railway would be the RH&DR in Hythe, England. That is 56.5 inches x 0.25 = 14.125 inches and RD&DR is 15 inch (close enough) but ether way this is an awesome railway.
That was epic
Did you go to huckleberry last Saturday?
Hello I'm having trouble reaching the park about this, how often are shop tours on Railfan weekend on Saturday and what's the latest one
August 8th and 9th I believe, I haven't been there in a while but I believe the shop tours come with your ticket. Obviously I'm speaking in 2023 where covid isn't a big deal anymore (in most parts of the world), if you don't get them with your ticket, I believe you get them at crossroads.
@@putanamehere9189 I went last year and it was Great
@@OldIronVideo Sadly 464 isn't there anymore, hopefully I'll be able to volunteer in the rebuild.
@@putanamehere9189 she was outside during the shop tours and it was cool
How often are shop tours on Railfan days
Ok
@@Semrail152 ok
This is an impressive steam engine, you have to love articulated steam locomotives due to their size & the c&o 1601 is an example of how railroads increased locomotive sizes through the decades. The C&O rr really needed serious strength with locomotives being required to haul the 10,000+ ton coal trains through the "Allegheny" mountain range.
At 1:34, that's me with the silver car. That was a very fun chase!
cool
Was there one time many years ago. Great place. Highly recommend going.
I am curious to know where you got the foods car. The single door baggage?
I wish it never shut down
I like riding trains like this
I'm glad my dad took us here before he passed away
My family love this place
I'm glad my dad brought us here before it close down we had fun there
I go to crossroads village too
We were there we rode that train me and my wife and my son it was fun
GREAT video! It's always nice to see another steam engine out and running!
Truthfully the smallest operating standard gauge Pacific locomotive in the world it's historically noted that she was built at the same time as Southern Railway 4501 according to delay in block productions they have the same builders plate by Baldwin
It's so sad I never heard of this until after it was a memory, it looks utterly amazing
Are the 0-8-0 switcher and the shay the same gauges?? Or is the shay wider
I know for a fact that the 464 isn’t permanently retired & it will run again.
gonna be 10-15 years until its back
@@allischalmersfanwd4566 I’m aware of that.
I haven't been to the huckleberry railroad on a while I hope the can extend the line a bit
I love The Huckleberry railroad I've been going every year since I was 2
I always imagine how Junction Valley railroad would've looked with a steam locomotive
Interior is correct for a C&O Pullman; restoration looks very promising
City of Newport News was last reported on the C&G in MS; needs some work; could be upgraded with LED lighting & a battery pack power source with no HEP neccessary
Why did the Pere Marquette Railway used air valve to blow their whistles and when did the whistle lever get added?
Can you ride it bc I have never been there but I'm going there Friday
